This tool lets you use architectural elements or 3D components in shell entities (general arrangement view). As the data is copied, the original data is not destroyed. With architectural elements, only the component geometry is used, not the material data. |
This tool lets you convert architectural elements or 3D components in shell entities (general arrangement view). The original data is converted to general arrangement data and is no longer available after this operation. With architectural elements, only the component geometry is converted, not the material data. |
You can use this tool to create a new view based on existing views or sections. |
You can use this tool to create a section based on existing views or sections. The section depth is defined by entering a second clipping area. Check that the section depth exceeds the spacing between stirrups, for example. Otherwise, you might define a clipping area that is between the stirrups and, consequently, you can only see the longitudinal bars. |
You can use this tool to convert a view to a section. For this, you need at least two views seen from two different directions. You define the clipping area by entering section polygons in these views. |
You can use this tool to create a view based on a section. In contrast to the Create View from View tool, this tool does not create an entire view. Rather, the view is delimited by the clipping area you define. |
You can use this tool to convert a section to a view. |
You can use this tool to place a three-dimensional view on the document – for visual collision checks, for example. |
You can use this tool to create a view perpendicular to an inclined surface in order to display it at its actual size. |
You can use this tool to add text to a view. The text is associated with the view so that any modifications you make to the view (move, copy, delete, etc.) will affect it, too. |

You can use this tool to specify the scope of the elements displayed in views and sections. |
You can use this tool to copy entire views or sections. |
You can use this tool to move entire views or sections together with their elements. |
You can use this tool to rotate entire views or sections together with their elements. |
You can use this tool to delete entire views or sections together with their elements. |
You can use this tool to display the clipping area in a view or section in order to check which elements are included in the section, for example. |
You can use this tool to delete a section's clipping area from a view or section. |
You can use this tool to create a hidden line image for a view. Any changes you make to the image have no effect on the shell entity and are lost when you convert it to a wireframe model. |
You can use this tool to convert a hidden line image back to its original status. The wireframe view is calculated based on the shell entity's data model. |
You can use this tool to merge views of two separate shell entities to form a single one. The shell entities do not need to intersect each other for this. After being merged, the views can be addressed as a single entity. |
