Basic: Walls, Openings, Components
Engineering family
Module(s): Basic: Walls, Openings, Components
Application
- To draw a 3D general arrangement drawing for a building.
- To draw a 2D general arrangement drawing for a building.
Notes
- A 3D general arrangement drawing considerably facilitates the process of placing reinforcement using the 3D model (see chapter "Reinforce with or without 3D model?").
- A story is modeled based on architectural components (walls, columns, etc.):
- When a component height is entered, a 3D general arrangement drawing is generated.
- When the component height is set to 0, a 2D general arrangement drawing is generated. When a 2D floor plan is created in this manner, component-specific hatching is generated automatically.
- Views and sections can be created in three ways:
- Using the tools in the Associative Views module: any changes in the component geometry or reinforcement are automatically displayed in all the views and sections.
- Using the tools in the Shell module: any changes in the component geometry or reinforcement are automatically displayed in all the views and sections.
- Using the Clipping Path tool in the General: Roofs, Planes, Sections module: the reinforcement is not displayed automatically. This tool is thus not suitable for reinforcement drawings. Changes made to the component geometry are nevertheless taken into account
- Create dimensions using the tools in the
Dimension Lines module. You can also use module-specific dimensions for associative views.
