Reinforce with or without 3D model?

Module(s): Associative Views + Shell + Bar Reinforcement + Mesh Reinforcement + BAMTEC

Bar, mesh and BAMTEC® reinforcement can be placed with or without 3D model.

There are three methods for creating a reinforcement drawing depending on whether your reinforcement drawing is based on a 2D or 3D general arrangement drawing (they can also be combined):

Method 1:
3D general arrangement drawing and 3D model

Method 2:
2D general arrangement drawing and 3D model

Method 3:
2D general arrangement drawing without 3D model

First, the shell is modeled with the tools in the 3D Modeling or Basic: Walls, Openings, Components modules.

The shell is drawn with the tools in the Draft module.

The shell thus exists in three dimensions.

The shell thus does not exist in three dimensions.

This three-dimensional shell is converted to shell entities using tools in the Shell module. You do not need to convert the shell when you work with the Associative Views module.

Auto-updating views and sections are generated based on the 3D floor plan or the shell entities.

The bending shape and position of the bar to be placed are defined with tools in the Bar Reinforcement and Mesh Reinforcement modules.

Number off is manual. It is up to the user to indicate to the program that the bars/meshes are to be added.

The reinforcement is automatically displayed in all the existing views and sections (as well as in any that you create later). Any changes you make are automatically reflected.

If additional views and sections of the reinforcement are created, then the reinforcement is automatically displayed in them and they will update to reflect any changes you make.

The reinforcement is not automatically displayed in all the views and sections.

A These bars are visible when you create a new section of the reinforcement.

Based on the shell and the reinforcement, a three-dimensional model is created automatically in the background.

To display intersected bars, you need to place them in a special manner.

It is available at any time. All you need to do is set a 3D view.

You can create additional, auto-updating views and sections using tools in the Associative Views or Shell module at any time for the shell and reinforcement.

The edges of the shell can be drawn manually later with tools in the Draft module.

Note: If a 2D general arrangement drawing is available as the basis for the creation of a reinforcement drawing, use method 2 and combine it with method 3 for complicated reinforcement situations.
