Measure

You can use the Measure tool to obtain measurement information about elements. The results of measurement operations can be used in several ways.

• You can use Set precision to specify the decimal places for the values returned. The values are rounded off accordingly.
  To set the precision of measured values
• You can use to place the result as paragraph text in the workspace.
  To place measured values as paragraph text in the workspace
• You can also activate the measurement tools while another function is active and use the measurement results as an input value (e.g., for the length of a line).
  To transfer values to the dialog line or calculator
• You can use to copy the result to the Clipboard and paste it into other Windows applications (CTRL+V).

To access the measurement tools

1. Click Measure (How).
   

   Activate Measure in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Tools

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+M

   • Toolbar: Standard
2. Select a measurement option.
