Measure Volume
Measure
You can use the Measure Volume tool to measure the volume of a solid.
To measure the volume of an element
- Click Measure Volume.
Or
- Click Measure (How) and then Volume.
- Click an edge or corner of the 3D solid or object whose volume you want to know.
The following values are displayed:
- V: volume of the solid/object
- Sf: surface area of the solid/object
- SX: X-coordinate of the solid’s center of gravity
- SY: Y-coordinate of the solid’s center of gravity
- SZ: Z-coordinate of the solid’s center of gravity
- Do the following:
- Click Set precision to specify the decimal places for the values returned. The values are rounded off accordingly.
- Click to place the measurement result as text (only possible if you have not selected the measurement tool while another tool is active).
- Click one of the values to use it for a tool or for the calculator.
- Click and then, in the dialog box, click a value to copy it to the Clipboard.
- Click OK to measure another element.
- Click Cancel to quit the measurement tool.
