Measuring the height of a DTM

Measure

You can use this tool to measure the height of points in a DTM.

To measure the height of a DTM

1. Click the DTM.
2. Click the point whose height you want to measure.
   The point must not be beyond the exterior boundary of the DTM or within a cutaway.
3. Do the following:
   • Click Set precision to specify the decimal places for the values returned. The values are rounded off accordingly.
   • Click to place the measurement result as text (only possible if you have not selected the measurement tool while another tool is active).
   • Click one of the values to use it for a tool or for the calculator.
   • Click and then, in the dialog box, click a value to copy it to the Clipboard.
   • Click OK to measure another element.
   • Click Cancel to quit the measurement tool.
