Label parameters

Several tools

You can change the parameter settings for the label as you need.

The Label area provides the following parameters. The parameters that are actually displayed depend on the dimension line type set.

Mark number

Specifies whether the mark number is included in the label. If the mark number is not displayed, the leader underlines the label. If possible, the leader continues in alignment with the underline.

End with mark number

Specifies whether the mark number appears at the beginning or end of the label. You can only select this parameter when you have chosen to display the mark number and the Automatic mark number option is not selected in the input options.

Number of pieces, diameter, steel grade, spacing, length

Specifies whether these parameters are included in the label.

Note: If you apply a dimension line to placements with different spacing, the spacing details displayed in the dimension line is var (for variable). As soon as these placements get the same spacing again, the spacing in question is then displayed.

Layer

Specifies whether information on the reinforcement layer is added to the label. Select a number from 1 to 9 for the Layout number.

Position

Specifies whether information on the reinforcement position is added to the label. You can specify up to 2 characters for the Description.

Custom text

Specifies whether custom text is added to the label. You can enter any text in the Text definition box (the text is added automatically to the list box) or click to select it in the list box.

Bending shape

Specifies whether the bending shape (not to scale) is added to the end of the label.

Two-line text

When you select this option, a two-line label is created (common practice in Russia). The leader serves as a separator.

Note: The start point of the leader depends on the position of the label relative to the dimension line and is determined automatically by the program.

Options for text

Opens another dialog box where you can specify the temporary format properties of the mark number, the text parameters and the temporary format properties of the mark text. In addition, you can apply a background fill to the text.

Note: The next time you select this tool, the program takes the format properties for the mark number and mark text from the Options, Reinforcement - Format page again.

The Leader area provides the following parameters. The parameters that are actually displayed depend on the dimension line type set.

Leader

Specifies how the leader is created. The scope depends on the label type selected. You cannot select a leader when Layer marking is active.
When modifying labels, you cannot change the leader type.

Leader end symbol

To clearly show that the bar and the dimension line or label belong together, you can select a symbol that is placed at the end of the leader. You cannot select a symbol when Layer marking is active.

Angle of comb lines

For the Comb dimension line type, you can specify the angle between the leaders of the comb and the base line.

Fixed element, comb line

For the Comb dimension line type, you can specify whether the Spacing between the leaders of the comb and the bars or the Length of the leaders is created using the fixed value defined for Spacing/length.

Options for leader

Opens another dialog box where you can specify the type and size of the leader end symbol and the temporary pen thickness and line color of the leader.

Note: The next time you select this tool, the program takes the settings for the pen thickness and line color of the leader from the Options, Reinforcement - Format page again.

Layer marking

If you have selected the layer symbol in the Options, Reinforcement - Labels and you select this option, the label is placed automatically without a leader at the layer symbol. The spacing between the label and the layer symbol is based on the settings you have made in the Options. In this case, you cannot define a text angle for the label.

To place the label together with the layer symbol, click the drop-in point or a bar segment.

Layer symbol

Select the layer symbol that is to be placed together with the label or that is placed at the bar segment after the label has been placed.

Note: Bear in mind that some text elements may be disabled in the options on the Reinforcement, Labels page and cannot be selected.
