Selecting the projection for orientation in space

Several tools

You need to define the orientation in space only if you want to create the reinforcement using a 2D general arrangement drawing with a 3D reinforcement model as the two-dimensional general arrangement drawing does not provide the information required for the orientation of the placed reinforcement in three-dimensional space. All you need to do is specify the projection for the orientation in space once. This automatically defines the 3D model of the entire reinforcement.

If you, however, create the reinforcement in architectural components in a shell created using the Associative Views or Shell module or in a reinforcement for which you have already defined the orientation in three-dimensional space, the program automatically detects the spatial orientation of the reinforcement.

You can thus select the view defining the orientation in three-dimensional space ...

The selected view is displayed in the preview and assists you in the process of assigning the 2D general arrangement drawing. Example with a beam:

Elevation (Y)

Section (X)

Plan (-Z)

Tip: Start your reinforcement drawing by
by placing stirrups in the X direction in the beam,
by placing stirrups in the -Z direction in the column or
area reinforcement in the -Z direction in the slab.
