Coupler/end anchorage (schema)

Tool(s): Coupler, Thread, Connecting Bar

You can use Coupler/end anchorage (schema) to apply couplers or end anchorage to schema bars. Couplers defined using the partial schema are only created for the relevant placement. This modified placement gets a new mark number.

To apply couplers or end anchorage to schema bars

  1. Click Coupler, Thread, Connecting Bar (How).
  2. Select the desired manufacturer.
  3. Select Coupler/end anchorage (schema) on the context toolbar and click OK to confirm.
  4. Click the end of the schema bar where you want to create a coupler. Requirement: the bar end in question must not have a hook.

The Selection of Articles dialog box opens and you can select a catalog. All the classes and articles that match the current parameters (e.g. diameter, bending shape) are displayed.
Clicking a manufacturer in the tree view displays information on this manufacturer in the right pane. Click Options ... to specify whether the Selection name or the Company name is displayed in the tree view.

  5. Select the relevant coupler and, in the case of the SAH thread bar coupling system, the load type and click OK to confirm the dialog box .

After having checked the boundary conditions, the program shortens the selected bar segment so that the end of the coupler (including accessories, if any) is exactly the same as the original end of the bar. A symbol representing the coupler is added to the schema bar and the relevant placement(s). If the coupler has been applied to the partial schema, a new mark number will be assigned.
In addition, the label for the schema bar includes information on the coupler type, lock nut and accessories. Furthermore, the changed length of the bar segment is displayed, and the length including coupler and/or coupler body appears in brackets if Label Segment is selected.

Note: Whereas the name of the coupling system is always included in schema labels for bars with couplers and/or threads as well as for connecting bars, this information only appears in labels for the placement when the Steel grade parameter is selected.
