Load type

Tool(s): Coupler, Thread, Connecting Bar

Depending on the load the threaded bar has to take, two different lock nuts are used for coupler connections and end anchorage:

In the case of coupler connections, you specify the load type when creating the coupling bar. If you have not selected a nut, the longer lock nut (T2003) is automatically used. To get the appropriate load type for the connecting bar, you always need to click the associated coupler.

In the case of end anchorage, both the use and the arrangement of the individual accessories depend on the load type. In addition, a distinction is made between compression and alternating loads. It is thus particularly important to select the appropriate load type.

You can specify the load type in the parameters (except for anchor piece T2073, which is used to create end anchorage for alternating loads). Without this definition, end anchorage using anchor plate T2139 or T2008 is automatically associated with alternating loads and end anchorage using anchor piece T2073 with compression loads.
This automatically predefines anchorage for anchor plates; in the case of anchorage for anchor pieces and tension loads, on the other hand, the loads need to be specified explicitly. In this case, it is not enough to select articles using the tree view or the Article box.

Note: Short lock nuts (T2040) are not available for diameters 12 and 14 mm. That is why the long lock nuts (T2003) are always used in conjunction with these diameters, regardless of the load type.
