Couplers of the LENTON rebar splicing system
Tool(s): Coupler, Thread, Connecting Bar
The current product range provides the following couplers:
- Standard couplers A12N are designed to splice the same diameter bars where one bar is free to move and can be rotated.
This coupler covers approximately 90% of all applications! - Transition couplers A12N are designed to splice different diameter bars where one bar can be rotated. The smaller diameter is always used for the ongoing bar.
- Position couplers and transitions couplers P13LN are designed to splice (curved, bent or straight) bars which cannot be rotated and/or where the ongoing bar is restricted in its axial movement. Bars with the same or different diameters can be spliced.
- Position couplers and transitions couplers P14LN are designed to splice bars which cannot be rotated. The ongoing bar, however, is not restricted in its axial movement.
Couplers P14LN are different to couplers P13LN in that they are shorter. Bars with the same or different diameters can be spliced. - Position couplers P15, which can be used in conjunction with couplers P13LN (of which the length can be adjusted), facilitate the process of quickly splicing bars. They are particularly appropriate for column sections or precision coupling of elements with multiple bars joined over a short span.
- Bolt couplers S13N provide a full strength joint between a reinforcing bar and a standard metric bolt.
- End anchors D14N can be used instead of rebar hooks. These anchors are secured to the end of reinforcing steel, creating anchorage within the concrete.
- Weldable couplers C12 are designed for connecting reinforcing bars to structural steel structures or plates. These couplers provide full load transfer.
Note: It is always the user who selects the coupler to be used. The program does not check whether the selected coupler can be used with the existing bending shapes (for example, you will not be informed if you select a standard coupler of the A12N type for a bar that cannot be rotated).
