Extending buildings

Module(s): Urban Planning

You can use the Extend Building tool to add extensions to existing buildings.

To extend a building

1. Click Extend Building (How).
   

   Activate Extend Building in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Terrain Urban Planning

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Urban Planning

2. Click the building to which you want to add a new part.
3. Click Building Rep to specify a name for the building and to define how the extension is displayed.
4. Click Story Def to define the stories.
5. Define the roof shape. The procedure is the same as for the Roof Frame tool.

Notes:

• Click Change Archit. Properties to change the representation of the building.
• Click Modify Building to modify the geometry and/or the properties of the building.
• Click Delete Building Parts to delete a part of the building you added using Extend Building.
