Summary of options for creating rooms

Allplan provides a number of different options for creating rooms:

• Rooms based on existing 2D data:
  Open the documents with the 2D data in reference mode.
  Create the rooms.
  Use Room; in this case, the automatic room generator cannot be employed.
• Rooms based on architectural data:
  Place the floor plan with the walls (architectural data) in an edit or active document.
  Select Room to create rooms one by one
  or
  Select Auto-Room to create the rooms automatically.
• Create rooms
  Architectural elements or design entities are not required for creating rooms.

Note: To define the surfaces in a room at a later stage use
Finish Specifications or
Redefine Rooms, Surfaces, Stories
