Finish specifications

You can use the Finish Specifications tool to define or modify finish specifications (covering): vertical surfaces, ceiling and floor covering. The surfaces defined here correspond to those assigned using the Room tool.

For example, you can assign finish specifications to rooms created using the Auto-Room tool, or you can modify the structure of surfaces or baseboard you created with the Room tool.

To create or modify finish specifications

  1. Click Finish Specifications (How).
  2. In the Finish Specifications dialog box, define the finish specifications for vertical surfaces, ceilings, floors as well as a baseboard.

    Note: The dialog box is the same as the Finish tab in the Room tool.

  3. Specify which finish surfaces/baseboard are to be assigned next by checking/clearing the corresponding box.
  4. Click OK to confirm your entries in the dialog box.
  5. Click the rooms that are to be assigned these settings.

    Tip: You can use Find Elements in the input options to enter criteria for finding elements.

  6. Right-click in the workspace to confirm the settings and to create the element.
  7. To define additional covering, repeat steps 2 to 6. Otherwise, quit the function.
