Redefining rooms, surfaces, stories

You can use the Redefine Rooms, Surfaces, Stories tool to define or modify the parameters of baseboard, surfaces, rooms or stories.
You can make various modifications:
- This tool is not limited to rooms but can be used for all the elements that go to make up a room: vertical surfaces, floor, ceiling and baseboard.
- You can use it to retroactively alter the parameters of rooms that were created automatically and to label them.
- You can modify the parameters of rooms.
- You can match the parameters of existing rooms and assign these to other rooms.
- You can modify the parameters of stories or match the parameters of existing stories and assign these to other stories.
Note: Undo and Redo cannot be used with this tool.
To define or modify the parameters of baseboard, surfaces, rooms or stories
- Click Redefine Rooms, Surfaces, Stories (How).
- Click the Filter button to define the elements for which you want to define or change parameters. By default, this button is set to Room.
You can select the following elements in the Select dialog box: - To transfer the parameters of the element (selected via Filter) from an existing room/story or from the room/story to be modified into the context toolbar, click first on Match and then click in the room/story.
- Click Properties: The dialog box of the element clicked is opened.

- Click to select the room(s) to which the new parameters are to apply.
Tip: You can use Find Elements in the input options to enter criteria for finding rooms.
- To confirm, click Apply or right-click in the workspace.
- When you have finished, click Close or press ESC.
Note: You can also use this tool to modify (special) vertical surfaces, ceilings, floors and baseboard, created with Vertical Surface, Ceiling, Floor and Baseboard.
Note: To change the elevation of these elements, choose Change Archit. Properties.
Note: Rooms, vertical surfaces, floors, ceilings and baseboard can also be modified via the shortcut menu (modification based on initial settings).
