Upstand

You can use the Upstand tool to draw masonry on the bearing surface of a slab on a wall. The top level of the wall below serves as the bottom level of the upstand.

The options available for entering the element are the same as those for the Wall tool. For the upstand, always use the option with which the wall below it was created.

To draw upstands over walls

  1. Click Upstand (How).
  2. Click the wall on which the upstand is to be created. The top level of the wall serves as the bottom level of the upstand.
  3. If you want, you can now modify the upstand's parameters.
    The context toolbar provides several options.
  4. Select the type on the Upstand Context toolbar. It should be the same as the type of the wall below.

Note: Upstands can be modified using the following tools:
Delete Section of Linear Component,
Join Linear Components and
Join Linear Component with Line
When modifying upstands, make sure you select them in a 3D view and not in plan view.
