Defining cells

You can use the Define Cell tool to define a cell for a legend.
Cells serve as placeholders for attributes. When you place a legend in the document, these placeholders are filled with the relevant values from the building model.
The topics that follow show the various options available in Define Cell; not all of the options for a cell have to be used, however.
Possible approaches for defining a cell
- Click Define Cell (How).
- On the Define Cell Context toolbar, click Border and place the border in the workspace.
- On the Define Cell Context toolbar, click Cell Number x and define or change the cell number.
Tip: You can also click Mod No to change the numbers of cells that have already been defined.
- On the Define Cell Context toolbar, click the relevant button and specify whether the cell is to contain
- On the Define Cell Context toolbar, click View to get information from parent smart symbols.
- You can position cells that you have already placed so that they are left-aligned, right-aligned or aligned so that they are flush with the bottom edge.
- Click OK to confirm the entries made on the Define Cell Context toolbar.
The cell is displayed attached to the crosshairs.
- You can enter the following parameters for the cell:
- Place the cell anywhere in your drawing file. You can use the to place it.
