If a cell is to draw its information from a source other than an architectural element - for example, if it is to calculate a value based on other column entries - you can define a formula for it by using the Formula option.

To define a formula

  1. Click Define Cell (How).
  2. On the Define Cell Context toolbar, click Formula.
  3. Enter the formula.
  4. Click OK to apply the settings.

The cell is displayed attached to the crosshairs.

  5. Define the cell's text parameters.
  6. Specify the format.
  7. Specify the unit.
  8. Specify a border if you want.
  9. Place the cell anywhere in your drawing file. You can use the tools in the input options to place it.
