View - parent relationship

Tool(s): Define Cell + Modify Legends, Info

You can use this to turn on or off the information from a superordinate (parent) smart symbol.

To display a parent level

1. Click Define Cell (How).
   

   Activate Define Cell in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools Templates: Reports, Legends, Labels

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Templates: Reports, Legends, Labels

2. Set View to Yes.

For example:

You are defining a legend for vertical surfaces and wish to display the room name in a column. As the room name is an attribute from the hierarchically superior smart symbol, View has to be set to Yes.
