General approach in the Crop Layout module

Module(s): Crop Layout

The Crop Layout module allows you to ”cut” oversize layouts into smaller ”sub-layouts”. The original layout itself is not affected by this operation.

General approach

  1. Assemble the layout in the Layout module.
  2. Switch to the Crop Layout module and define one or several borders using Layout Border. The desired sections are displayed within these layout borders.
  3. Use Convert Layout Section to cut out the section(s). Each section is saved as a separate layout.
  4. You can use Load Layout Section or Layout to load and check the layout sections.
  5. You can use Site Plan-Specific Layout Border to create a grid with appropriate labeling and correct any irregularities in the layout border.
  6. If you want, you can position other drawing files in the section using Layout Element or NDW Layout Element. Note, however, that these are not cut. When the drop-in point is within the layout border, the drawing files are positioned in such a way that they are congruent.
  7. Print the result using the Print Layouts tool in the Layout module.
