Import FEA files

Module(s): Interfaces

You can use the Import FEA Files tool to import files generated by various FEA applications into Allplan.
You can display the data in these files as an aid during reinforcement work using the Reinforcement Contours tool. You can also use it to generate reinforcement interactively with FEA Reinforcement Color Image.
In addition, this data can serve as the basis for automatic area reinforcement in the Bar Reinforcement module and for creating reinforcement using the BAMTEC technology. If the FEA program's interfaces meet the advanced requirements, you can also use this data for punching shear analyses in the HALFEN-DEHA module. The advantage of this approach is that the program increases the required reinforcement automatically.

To import a FEA file

  1. Click Import FEA Files (How).
  2. In the Data Import dialog box displayed by the system, navigate to the folder with the FEA data.
  3. Select the file(s) you want to import. The filename extension of these files is dat or *.asf.
  4. To select the destination drawing file, click a row and then the Transfer -> button. If you select more than one file, they are assigned one drawing file each and sorted in ascending order.
To remove FEA files, select the corresponding row(s) in the Destination drawing files area and click <- Remove.
  5. Click Import to start the data transfer operation.
