Reinforce

Module(s): BAMTEC

You can use the Reinforce tool to create the reinforcement for the separated carpets. This requires a fully completed FEA calculation. The FEA parameters are derived from the carpet outline and its name.

The mounting strips are automatically placed on the BA_B_TRG layer, the elements of the Layout setup on the BA_B_PLA layer and the Carpet rings on the BA_B_RIN layer. When you create layouts for testing purposes, you can disable the layers in the layout editor.

To use FEA results for automatic reinforcement

1. Click Reinforce (How).
   

   Activate Reinforce in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Engineering BAMTEC

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   BAMTEC

   • Configuration: Engineering BAMTEC flyout
2. Enter settings in the Automatic Reinforcement dialog box.
3. Click OK to use the current setting and start
   or
   Click Cancel to discard the current setting in the dialog box.
4. As a result of your adjustments in the dialog box, you now receive additional information on the created reinforcement. Place this in the workspace.
5. Check the reinforcement the program has created automatically. Please pay attention to reinforcement peaks from the FEA calculation.
   The final check is done after you have created the layouts. To do this, configure the program to show the contours of the reinforcement.
