Parameters for Polar Axis Grid, Overview

Tool(s): Polar Axis Grid + Modify Axis Grid

In this dialog box you can set parameters for the circles and spokes in the grid separately.
The dialog box is divided into the following sections:

Label

Use these options to define the label for the axis grid. For example, you can set the character height, text angle and numbering format. The settings you make apply to the axis that is currently active (i.e. the active tab).

For more information, see Axis Grid Parameters, Label.

Display Parameters

You can set parameters for the circles and spokes in the axis grid here. The settings apply to the region currently selected. You can define different display parameters (pen, line and color) for each region or use the automatic feature near the bottom of the dialog box to use the same pen, line and color settings for all regions.

For more information, see Parameters for Polar Axis Grid, Display Options.

General parameters

Enter the number of regions for the axis direction in question and a value by which grid lines may overlap the actual grid itself.

For more information, see Axis Grid Parameters, General Settings.

Automatic (circles only)

When this check box is enabled, all the regions in the grid are drawn with the same pen, line and color. You can also set a spacing between the individual gridlines; to do this, click Make Regions.... The system will generate the regions automatically. You can use the Based on radii and Based on spacing options to specify whether the regions are generated based on the offset values entered or based on the individual radii.

For more information, see Parameters for Polar Axis Grid, Automatic.

Angle (spokes only)

Use this to define whether the polar grid created is a full circle or just a section of a circle.

For more information, see Parameters for Polar Axis Grid, Angle.
