Bent-up mesh – view-based placement

Bent-up meshes are first entered and then placed. Number off management as well as the manner in which the bent-up meshes are displayed, labeled and rearranged is controlled by the settings in the options.

• Entry
  When you enter (define) a bent-up mesh, you define its shape by clicking points of a shell or by making the bar expand to adapt to the outline of an existing shell. For some FF components, you can also create specific bending shapes as bent-up meshes.
• Placement
  After you have entered the bending shape using the Mesh Shape tool, you can define additional bending shapes, label and then place the bending shape or immediately switch to placement. If you use the Place Mesh Shape tool to place the bending shape immediately after having created or labeled it, automatic depth placement is possible.
  The length of the mesh and the required number are determined when you place the mesh. With linear placement, you can use the input options to specify whether meshes of different length get the same mark numbers or different mark numbers. This way, you can produce whole meshes that are then cut directly on site.

With area reinforcement, meshes can be defined and placed in a single step.

Function sequence

The following examples provide an overview of the main function procedures. They are valid for all three methods.

A function is invoked by clicking its tool. Then you can choose a function with which you would like to continue or the program initiates the next logical function without you having to activate it explicitly.

Functions that are executing can be canceled and resumed at any time. For example, you can use Mesh Shape to enter and label a bent-up mesh, and yet quit the function prior to placing the mesh. You can then resume this part of the function using the Place Mesh Shape tool.
