View-based placement

Bar reinforcement is first entered and then placed. Number off management as well as the manner in which the bars are displayed, labeled and rearranged is controlled by the settings in the module's options.

• Entry
  When you enter (define) a bar, you define its shape by clicking points of a shell or by making the bar expand to adapt to the outline of an existing shell. Using FF components, it is also possible to define several bars for a component.
• Placement
  After you have entered the bar using the Bar Shape tool, you can define additional bending shapes, label and then place the bending shape or immediately switch to placement. If you use the Place Bar Shape tool to place the bending shape immediately after having created or labeled it, automatic depth placement is possible.
  During placement, the required number and spacing is determined automatically. The placing region can be identified with a dimension line and label.

Area reinforcement

With area reinforcement, bars can be defined and placed in a single step. In this case, the bending shape is defined in a dialog box.

Function sequence

The following examples provide an overview of the main function procedures. They are valid for all three methods.

A function is invoked by clicking its tool. Then you can choose a function with which you would like to continue or the program initiates the next logical function without you having to activate it explicitly.

Functions that are executing can be canceled and resumed at any time. For example, you can use Bar Shape to enter and place a bar, and yet quit the function prior to placing the corresponding dimension line. You can then resume this part of the function using the Dimension Line/Label tool.
