Rendering images

Module(s): Animation + Shortcut menu in navigation mode

You can use the Render tool to calculate photo-realistic bitmaps from the current view of your 3D model. The program takes into account the selected lighting and surface properties.

To render an image

  1. Click Render (How).

    The Render palette opens.

  2. Set the resolution, render mode and all the other parameters.

    Important!
If you define settings in the Options or Advanced settings palette, do not forget to click OK to confirm. Otherwise, the program will not apply these settings.

  3. Click Render.

The program starts rendering the image. You can follow the calculation in the Cinerender window. When the program has finished, you can see the message Rendering completed in the status bar of this window.

  4. If you want, you can then optimize the Color saturation, Brightness and Contrast of the rendered image.
  5. If you want to Save the result As a bitmap, click the corresponding button.

Tip: Using Edit Bitmap (How), you can open and edit the saved bitmap later.

  6. In order to quit the tool, click Close in the border of the Cinerender window or press ESC.
