Editing bitmaps

The Edit Bitmap tool includes a number of other tools that you can use to display bitmaps, convert them to other formats, print and edit them.

To edit bitmaps

1. Click Edit Bitmap (How).
   

   Activate Edit Bitmap in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Presentation Animation

   • Toolbar: Change
   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Animation

   The Edit Bitmap window opens.

2. Click Open on the File menu.
3. In the Open File dialog box, specify
   • the path of the bitmap file (the current project's path is the default),
   • the file type of the bitmap file,
   • and the file name of the bitmap file.
   • File Details provides information on the file size, size in pixels and resolution of the selected bitmap file.
   • When Preview is active, a preview of the bitmap is displayed.
4. Click Open.

   The selected bitmap file is displayed in the Edit Bitmap window.

5. If you want, you can now edit the bitmap, convert it to other data formats or print it out. Use the tools on the menus.

6. You can save the modified bitmap in several ways:

   To save the changes to the original file, open the File menu and click Save.

   Or:

   To retain the original bitmap, save the modified bitmap under a new name. To do this, open the File menu and click Save as... or Save as (advanced).... Define the path, file type and file name of the bitmap and click Save.

7. To quit the tool, click Exit on the File menu or press ESC.
