Rendering with a bitmap in the background

Module(s): Animation

Using the Render tool, you can also render images with a bitmap in the background. The background bitmap is the same as the one you see when you check the design.
The bitmap you have selected in Surroundings is also used for rendering.

Note: The maximum render size is 10,000 x 10,000 pixels.

To render with a bitmap in the background

  1. Click Surroundings (How).
  2. The Surroundings palette opens. Navigate to the Background area and select the bitmap as follows:
  3. Press ESC to close the Surroundings palette.
  4. Select the Animation view type in the viewport and set the scene as you need.
  5. Click Render (How).
  6. The Render palette opens. Define the parameters.

Tip: Set the Resolution so that it matches the aspect ratio of the bitmap in the background. Otherwise, you might see stripes in the rendered image. The program enlarges the bitmap, but it does not resize it.

  7. Click Render.

Rendering starts. The rendered image appears in a separate window, where you can modify and save it.
