Steel, timber element
Module(s): Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts
You can use the Steel, Timber Element tool to create steel and timber elements like struts, braces, inclined slabs, for example.
Note: You can use the following tools to edit components created with Steel, Timber Element in the same way as 3D objects:

To create a timber element
- Click Steel, Timber Element (How).
- If you want, you can now modify the element's parameters.
are provided on the context toolbar for this. - Enter the start and end point as well as the height of the element.
You can define the position of the component using the following tools on the context toolbar:
- You can use Anchor Point to specify separate drop-in points for the start and end point. This way, you can define the element's beginning and end based on existing components.
- You can use Define reference plane to rotate the timber element before you enter it (e.g. cross lath on rafters). Click two edges or three points to define the position of the component.
