Conversion for building alteration work

You can use the Conversion for Building Alteration Work tool to define the building alteration category and specify how components and 2D surface elements are displayed.

To change the building alteration category of components

  1. Click Conversion for Building Alteration Work (How).
  2. If you want, you can now modify the parameters.
    The context toolbar provides several options.

    Note: Clicking Match parameters on the context toolbar copies all the parameters from an element in the workspace or in a wizard and transfers them to the Conversion for Building Alteration Work dialog box. At the same time, the relevant conversion mode is selected in accordance with the building alteration category set. This way, you can save time by copying the parameters from wizards.

  3. Select the conversion mode: as-built, demolition or new building.

    Note: If you want to assign a different building alteration category to a section of a wall only, you need to split up the wall first.
    To do this, you can use the Split Surface Elements, Archit. Elements tool, for example. As an alternative, select Delete Section of Linear Component and then Join Linear Component with Line.

  4. Specify how to handle objects' attributes:
  5. Select the elements to which you want to assign the parameters and building alteration category.

    Note: You can also apply the format properties specified in the Conversion for Building Alteration Work dialog box to 2D elements.

  6. Click Apply.

    The selected elements get the selected building alteration category including all the parameters defined.
