Structuring and managing data

You can handle Allplan documents in a project-independent manner. In other words, you can open and save them in any folder. Allplan documents opened in this manner are known as NDW files or NPL files.

You can use this approach to quickly send documents for review to partner offices or to temporarily open a drawing file or layout from a different project.

Tip: To differentiate visually between drawing files, layouts, NDW files and NPL files on screen, you can specify a different background color using the Options, Desktop environment, Display page.
