Integrating NDW files as drawing files in a project

Document-based approach using NDW files and NPL files

You can integrate NDW-format files as ‘normal’ drawing files in an Allplan project with ProjectPilot.

To import a NDW-format file to a project

1. In ProjectPilot, click a drawing file folder with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, choose Import of NDW files.
2. Select the NDW file you want to import in the dialog box and click Open.
3. Select the drawing file to which the NDW-format file is to be imported and click OK.

Note: When you are familiar with the basic concepts of the operating system you are running, another option for integrating NDW-format files as drawing files is also available: rename the NDW file so that the file name conforms to the conventions for drawing file names (tb00????.ndw ) and copy the file into the project folder. As NDW files have the same names as drawing files, they can be opened as drawing files using the Open on a project-specific basis (How) tool.
