Installation component, parameters

Clicking Properties opens the dialog box for entering parameters and attributes for installation components.

A wide range of parameters is offered in the dialog box. You can change these before you create the component or as you do so. Previews provide information on the options available for entering these components.

The dialog box consists of the following areas:

Outline

You can choose between linear or polygonal-bounded installation components.

Modification mode (linear components only)

The following options are provided for modifying walls:

• Reposition axis within wall
  When you enable this check box, all options for changing the geometric outline of the wall are locked; the thickness cannot be modified either. You can move the axis within the wall; the geometric position of the wall (absolute in the coordinate system) is retained.

  

• Recreate wall based on axis
  You can modify all the properties in the Wall dialog box (e.g. setup of construction layers, thickness values etc.). The position of the component axis is retained, and the wall is created along the axis with the new settings.

  

This area is only available when you modify components using Apply Archit. Component Properties or Properties on the shortcut menu (analogous to creation method).

Axis (linear components only)

You can position the component axis by dragging or based on numerical input.
