You can select existing surfaces or define new surfaces in the Surfaces palette.
Surfaces library
You can navigate to existing surfaces.
Depending on the tool from which you have accessed this palette, you can select a surface by double-clicking it, clicking OK or dragging it to a component or object.
Surfaces used in project
You can select one of the surfaces files in the current project.
New surface
You can define a new surface and save it as a surface file (SURF format, Nemetschek surface file).
