Creating a route profile of a variable longitudinal slope

Tool(s): Automatic Definition of Route Profile

  1. Select the relevant route or one of its station points and click General Properties on the Default toolbar or Edit menu.
  2. Select the Route Profile tab.
  3. Disable the Define route profile manually option.
  4. In the Station point for defining height area, select a station point you have already created and, if necessary, modify the height of this point.
  5. If necessary, disable the Same rise for entire route option.

    The height set and an angle of rise of 0° is applied to all the station points.

  6. Select the station point which serves as the corner of the route profile in the tree structure or Elevation preview and define the height curvature using the shortcut menu, Route toolbar or Edit menu.

    Note: To delete or modify existing height curvature definitions, select a station point of the relevant curvature section in the tree structure or Elevation preview and select the desired function on the shortcut menu, Route toolbar or Edit menu. While modifying, you can see the associated corner of the route profile in the dialog box.
