Creating a route profile of a constant longitudinal slope

Tool(s): Automatic Definition of Route Profile

  1. Select the relevant route or one of its station points and click General Properties on the Default toolbar or Edit menu.
  2. Select the Route Profile tab.
  3. Disable the Define route profile manually option.
  4. In the Station point for defining height area, select a station point you have already created and, if necessary, modify the height of this point.
  5. Enable the Same rise for entire route option enter the Angle of rise.

Based on the height you have just specified, the program automatically determines the Z coordinates of all the station points.

Note: In the case of a route with a constant rise, you cannot define or modify a height curvature. These routes are marked with a red point.
When you disable the Same rise for entire route option, the height and angle of rise determined for all station points are retained. You can then define the height curvature.
