Settings for engineering elements

You can define how engineering elements and the reinforcement model look when you convert them to 3D elements. There are two exceptions: if you print layouts or display engineering elements with the Wireframe view type in Plan, the program uses the settings defined in the Bar reinforcement area of the Options - Reinforcement - Representation.
The settings you make for shell entities have no effect on the manner associative views are displayed. The program uses the format properties of the 3D components. Therefore, you must display 3D components in a transparent manner in the Animation view type. Otherwise, fixtures and reinforcement are not visible in associative views.

You can define how the elements are displayed:

• Ignore elements
  

  The program does not display the elements in views of the Hidden, Animation, Sketch and RTRender type. The same applies to 3D elements derived from these elements.
  For the Wireframe view type, the program uses the format properties of the elements.

• Use current pen, line and color
  

  The program uses the current settings on the Format toolbar to display the elements in the view types. The same applies to the 3D elements derived.

• Match elements’ pen, line and color
  

  The program uses the settings currently assigned to the elements to display the elements in the view types. The same applies to the 3D elements derived.

• Match layers’ pen, line and color
  

  The program uses the settings currently assigned to the layers to display the elements in the view types. The same applies to the 3D elements derived.

• Separate surface for animation (animation only; the current format properties are used for conversions)
• Surface colors from diameters (Bar reinforcement only)
