Settings for engineering elements

The program displays the diameters in the colors assigned in views of the Animation and RTRender type, regardless of the settings for these view types. If you want to display all other view types and 3D elements derived in the same way, you must deactivate the Color stands for pen option in Show/Hide. Otherwise, the program uses the format properties of the elements. For 3D elements derived from these elements, the program uses the current settings on the Format toolbar.

Color stands for pen means that the color used to display an element on screen is associated with (and thus dependent on) the pen thickness of the element in question. Elements drawn with a certain pen (or pen thickness) are always presented on-screen with the same color, regardless of the colors assigned to the individual elements. You can specify which color represents which pen in the Options (Standard toolbar) on the Desktop environment - Pen colors page. You can switch the Color stands for pen option on and off in Show/Hide on the Standard toolbar.

If Surface colors from diameters is active and there are diameters without colors, these diameters get the unassigned color numbers. The program starts with number 2 and assigns the numbers in ascending order. If there are no color assignments, the program automatically assigns color numbers to the diameters. It starts with number 2 and assigns the numbers in ascending order.

To assign colors, click the Assign diameter colors button. A dialog box opens. You can use the following tools to assign colors.
You can change existing color assignments by selecting the desired color in the Color column.

Load favorite

You can retrieve a color assignment saved and adjust it, if necessary.

Save as a favorite

You can save the current color assignment as a favorite file.

Restore basic settings

You can reset the color assignment to the state that was active when you opened the dialog box.

Insert line

You can add a line to the end of the table and specify the diameter and its color. For the color, the program automatically uses the first unassigned color number starting at 2 in ascending order. The diameter number starts at 1 and is incremented automatically. Identical diameters are not possible.

Remove selected line

You can delete the selected line from the table. If you have not selected a line, the last line is deleted.

OK

Closes the dialog box and applies the current color assignment.

Cancel

Closes the dialog box but does not apply the current color assignment.
