Defaults

You can change existing fonts (numbers 1-20). You can change the properties for the entire font or just for single characters in the font.

To modify or define a font

  1. On the Tools menu, click Defaults.
  2. Click Font.

    Note: The You are modifying the fonts in the office path message is displayed to remind you that any changes you make will alter the office standard and all projects that are associated with the office standard and that use the font you are about to modify.

    The font edited last is imported. The number and name of the font are displayed in the title bar.

  3. On the Modify flyout, click Font and enter a number between 1 and 20 in the Fonts dialog box.
    The font’s characters are displayed on the left. On the right, an editing frame is displayed. This is where you can make edits.
  4. Set the parameters for the font:
  5. Modify the properties of individual characters in the font:
  6. Press ESC to quit font definition mode.
  7. To save the new font and overwrite the old one, click Yes when you see the confirmation prompt.
