Read Character

Font Definition

You can use the Read Character tool to read a character from the current font into the editing frame so that you can modify it or create a new one.

Tip: The number and name of the font as well as the number of the character are displayed in the title bar.

To read a character

1. Click Read Character (How).
   

   Activate Read Character in one of the following ways

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Font defaults

2. Enter the ASCII number in the dialog line and press ENTER or click the respective letter.
3. Edit the character using the tools on the Create II and Modify flyout.
