Exporting Allplan file for Frilo plate

You can use the Export Allplan File for Frilo Plate tool to export architectural components and design entities as DXF files. The data of this file can then be imported as a basis for your work into the FE program for plates provided by Nemetschek Frilo GmbH. This way, you can process subsequent changes to the structure in the FE program without losing existing data.

To export architectural components and design entities as a DXF file

1. Click Export Allplan File for Frilo Plate (How).
   

   Activate Export Allplan File for Frilo Plate in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Frilo Structural Analyses Frilo Plate

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Frilo Plate

2. Select the architectural components and/or design entities to be transferred.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   For more information on the options available for selecting elements in Allplan, see Selecting elements, overview.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   The DXF file is created and saved in the data exchange folder (...\i_o) in the current project. The name of the current drawing file is used for the name of the DXF file.

3. Start the FE program for plates provided by Nemetschek Frilo GmbH and import the data using File - Import - DXF.

   Note: The path of the DXF file you created last is copied to the Clipboard. When importing to the FE program for plates, you can paste this path directly from the Clipboard into the File name data entry box.

4. Make entries and perform the calculation in the FE program.
5. Before you quit the FE program, export the results so that you can import them into Allplan using the Import FEA Files tool.
