SmartParts

You can use this tool to open the SmartParts library in the Library palette, where you can select a SmartPart and place it in the workspace.

Insert SmartPart

You can use this tool to select existing SmartPart files in SMT format and place them in the workspace. You can change the parameters of the SmartPart when you place it. Alternatively, you can also select SmartParts in the SmartParts library of the Library palette.

Modify SmartPart using Handles

This tool provides an intuitive way of changing the parameters of a SmartPart. You can also use the keyboard to enter precise values.

Update SmartPart

You can use this tool to update a SmartPart based on the current parameters.

Modify SmartPart Properties using Dialog Box and Handles

This tool is a combination of Modify SmartPart Properties using Dialog Box and Modify SmartPart using Handles. You can specify the SmartPart parameters in a dialog box while changing it intuitively using the handles. To open this tool, double-click the SmartPart or select Properties on its shortcut menu.

To access the following tools, select the Tools menu, click Customize... and open the Additional tools with icons category.

Create SmartPart

You can use this tool to create a new SmartPart. The components (parameters, scripts) of the last SmartPart you created are set by default.

Modify SmartPart Properties using Dialog Box

You can use this tool to enter the parameters of a SmartPart in a dialog box. You can also access this tool by double-clicking the relevant SmartPart or selecting Properties on the shortcut menu.

Modify SmartPart using Script

You can use this tool to modify the script of an existing SmartPart.

Modify SmartPart Instance's Attributes

You can use this tool to change the attributes of an instance of a SmartPart.
