Linear placement

Tool(s): Place Bar Shape

To place existing reinforcing bar marks as a linear placement

  1. Click Place Bar Shape (How).
  2. Select Linear placement in the list box at the top in the Place Bar Shape palette.
    Click to open a dialog box that displays all the placing modes graphically.
  3. If you have not selected the Reinforce with 3D model option, you can place the bars of the selected mark as points in the section view: click Point mode on in the input options.
  4. Select the Abc - Label option in the input options if you want to label the placements immediately after placing them by pressing ESC.
  5. Select the mark to be placed by clicking a reinforcing bar or placed reinforcement. Alternatively, enter its mark number in the dialog line.
  6. If neither Reinforce with 3D model nor Point mode on is active, define the view of the bending shape in relation to the placing line. In order to define the line for the viewing direction, you can find a number of drawing aids in the input options.
  7. Define the placing region. The following options are available:
  8. If necessary, click in the Placing line or Placing segment line to define the placing line or segment again.
  9. Define the reinforcement parameters and, if placement is based on the offset, the position of the placement.
    Most parameters are also displayed in the graphics area, where you can define them by clicking. The parameter area updates immediately to reflect your entries.
  10. In the input options, select the type of display to be assigned to the placement.
