Linear placement
Tool(s): Place Bar Shape
To place existing reinforcing bar marks as a linear placement
- Click Place Bar Shape (How).
- Select Linear placement in the list box at the top in the Place Bar Shape palette.
Click to open a dialog box that displays all the placing modes graphically. - If you have not selected the Reinforce with 3D model option, you can place the bars of the selected mark as points in the section view: click in the input options.
- Select the Abc - Label option in the input options if you want to label the placements immediately after placing them by pressing ESC.
- Select the mark to be placed by clicking a reinforcing bar or placed reinforcement. Alternatively, enter its mark number in the dialog line.
- If neither Reinforce with 3D model nor Point mode on is active, define the view of the bending shape in relation to the placing line. In order to define the line for the viewing direction, you can find a number of in the input options.
- Define the placing region. The following options are available:
- If necessary, select Align in the input options and the first and second point of the placing line.
If Reinforce with 3D model is active and views do not exist, you only need to define the view of the bending shape once. Alternatively, click a view if there is one.
Define the parameters of the placing region. - If necessary, select Align in the input options, click Match placing line to the right of Placing line and then click a bar in the placement of which you want to match the placing line. You can do this in any view. You can only match the placing line if you are working in Reinforce with 3D model mode and the placement clicked has also been created in this mode.
Define the parameters of the placing region. - Select Segment in the input options and click a segment of an existing bar shape. You cannot place reinforcement along a bent segment.
Specify the at the start and end of the bar segment clicked, and if necessary, use Switch to change the position of the placement relative to the bar segment clicked.
- If necessary, click in the Placing line or Placing segment line to define the placing line or segment again.
- Define the reinforcement parameters and, if placement is based on the offset, the .
Most parameters are also displayed in the graphics area, where you can define them by clicking. The parameter area updates immediately to reflect your entries. - In the input options, select the type of display to be assigned to the placement.
- Click Show all bars to display all bars in the placement
- Click Show middle bar only to show just the middle bar
- Click Show selected bars to show just the bars you select
- Click Show selected bar as folded to show a bar of your choice. The program presents the various folding directions for selection. Select the desired setting by clicking.
