Reinforcement parameters

Tool(s): Place Bar Shape + Modifying bar shapes placed

After you have selected the mark to be placed or Place Bar Shape in the Properties palette, Allplan displays the mark number for your information in the Reinforcement area. In addition, you can define the following parameters:

Add number

When the Reinforce with 3D model option is not active, you can define whether the number of bars generated by the placement are to be added or ignored.

Component factor

You can enter a factor for placements that are displayed just once but that occur several times. This factor is only taken into account for the reinforcement management and the full schema.

Layer factor

Use this to enter the number of the congruent bar layers placed one upon the other.

Number/Spacing

Select a value in the list box or enter any value. The parameter you entered or selected last is used. The relevant parameter is displayed for information in the line below. The other value adapts in accordance with the placing length specified.
Please note that the placement is based on the parameter you select. Simply selecting it is enough; you do not need to enter any additional value. Switching from Spacing to Number of pieces sets the edge offsets to zero and adjusts the spacing accordingly. Switching from Number of pieces to Spacing, on the other hand, has no effect on the values.

Sectional format

The value you enter here is included in calculating the reinforcement percentage. Allplan automatically enters a value of 1 for longitudinal bars and 2 for stirrups.

Reinforcement percentage

Allplan displays the reinforcement percentage, which is calculated from the diameter, layer factor, sectional format and the entry you have made for the number or distance in [cm2] or [cm2/m].

Note: For single placements, only the Add number, Component factor and Layer factor parameters are available.
