The Details and standards symbol catalog in the Library palette includes the Road design STANDARDS folder, where you can find the most important road cross-sections, turning areas, tractrices and other traffic-related symbols.

Designing roads may involve the following steps:

You can start by defining the "mandatory points" using the symbols for tractrices, turning areas and road cross-sections.
You can then use the Offset Polyline or Enclose tool to connect these points along the building edges and through the road cross-section.
Finally, you can delete the superfluous elements that are included in the symbols (for example, the trees or vehicles displayed in elevation in the road cross-section).
