Frame construction reports

Module(s): Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

You can use Frame Construction Reports to analyze steel and timber elements. These reports can be sent to the printer and imported as PDF files to the document.

To create a report

Click Frame Construction Reports (How).
Activate Frame Construction Reports in one of the following ways
- Menu bar: Create Architecture Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts
- Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):
Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts
- Configuration: Architecture Frame Construction flyout
The Reports dialog box opens. Select the folder and report and then click Open.
Select the elements to be listed:
- To select a single element, click it.
- To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
- To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.
- Click All in the input options or double-click in the workspace with the right mouse button to select all the elements in the file.
- Click Find Element to filter elements according to other criteria (e.g., material or type).
The report is displayed in the Report Viewer and you can edit it as follows:
- You can customize the report,
- Print it,
- You can place it in the current document.
- Save it as a file in Excel, PDF or Word format or
- Edit it using the Layout Designer.
  You can save changes as a new template in RDLC format.
Print or save the report.
