Resizing area

Module(s): Scan

You can use the Resize Area tool to resize an area of the current scanned image associated with the drawing file.

• When you employ the Resize Area tool to resize an area of the image, the file containing the image is also modified. You should therefore use Copy Image to make a backup copy first.

• Before you perform this operation, you should set the zoom factor so that the image is the required size.
  Use Link with Scanned Image to do this and adjust the zoom factor as necessary.

To resize an area of the scanned image currently associated with the drawing file

1. Click Resize Area (How).
   

   Activate Resize Area in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Bonus Tools Scan

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Scan

2. Use the polyline entry tools to define the area you want to resize.
3. The remaining steps are the same as with the Resize tool.
