Modifying Patterns

Tool(s): Element for Fit

To modify a pattern

1. Click Element for Fit (How).
   

   Activate Element for Fit in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools Smart Fit

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Smart Fit

2. Click the Pattern tab.
3. Select the pattern to be modified.
4. In the Modify Pattern area on the right, click one of the following:
   • Insert Elements
   • Move Elements
   • Delete Elements
   • Define Substitutes
5. A preview of the pattern definition you want to change is now attached to the crosshairs. Place it in the workspace and modify it.
6. Press ESC to quit the tool.
7. Click Cancel to close the selection form.
