Pattern Modification, Insert Elements

Tool(s): Element for Fit

To modify a pattern and insert elements

1. Click Element for Fit (How).
   

   Activate Element for Fit in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools Smart Fit

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Smart Fit

2. Select a shape in the Pattern tab and click Insert Elements.
   A preview of the pattern definition you want to change is now attached to the crosshairs.
3. Place the pattern definition.
4. In the selection form, select an element you want to add to the pattern definition.
5. Confirm your selection. The Smart Fit dialog box closes:
6. Place the element in the workspace as often as you need.
7. Press ESC to finish entering.
8. You can insert more elements by repeating the steps above.
9. Press ESC to quit the tool.
