You can use the Replace Label Style tool to replace one or more label styles of the same type with another label style or with an object label.

Note: The foils that are currently not visible are also replaced.

Note: You cannot replace label styles you have placed using Elevation Point.

Note: When the position of the label changes after you have replaced the label style, the label style was defined with independent foils and elements. For more information see Moving or replacing labels with label styles.

To replace label styles

• The element and its label must be in the same document.

1. Click Replace Label Style (How).
   

   Activate Replace Label Style in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Architecture Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Templates: Reports, Legends, Labels

   Smart Symbols

   Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

   Special: Walls, Openings, Components

   Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

   Object Manager

   • Configuration: Architecture Architecture Edit flyout
2. Click the label style you want to replace.

   The Replace with Context toolbar is displayed. This toolbar provides information on the labeled component, the current label style and the drop-in point that is currently selected.

3. Select the label style with which you want to replace the current label style.

   Note: You can change the drop-in point for the new label style.

   Note: If the drop-in point is off , Allplan uses the drop-in point of the label style placed previously. This way, you can correctly replace label styles that are centered in window openings, for example.

   Note: Click Object Label to label objects in the same way as in the Object Manager module.

   

   When you have installed the Object Manager module, you can label architectural elements in the same way as objects.

   You can add attributes to labels as follows:

   • Check the boxes in front of the attributes you want to include in the label.

   You can use the arrows near the bottom of the dialog box to alter the sequence in which the attributes are displayed in the label:

   • Moves the selected attribute to the top
   • Moves the selected attribute to the bottom
   • Moves the selected attribute up a line
   • Moves the selected attribute down a line
4. If you want, you can now select and replace more label styles of the same type.
5. Click Apply to start the process. Clicking All replaces all the label styles of the same type in the document.
